This shot is the unit itself without lens. It was made from a broken SCT 6.3 reducer so the threads were already on both sides. Rob Wood machined the inner aluminum piece to hold the
lenses. Instead of eyepieces, I have a set of microfiche projection lenses, which were made for this exact purpose and work very well.
My reasoning in building this was that most of normal eyepiece projection units consist of only air space. I would rather use my flip-mirror for the air space and gain the par-focal advantages that
using it has, as well as easier framing. See the photo below for the compact form-factor.
